Tzu Chi Physio Service
As we grow older, a decline in physical function is natural. However, with appropriate physiotherapy, the effects of frailty can be slowed, and in some cases, even reversed. Tzu Chi Physio Service offers affordable, community-based physiotherapy for seniors experiencing acute or chronic mobility challenges, including frailty. Based within local neighbourhoods, our service combines professional care with humanistic values, empowering elderly individuals to enhance their strength, regain independence, and continue living with dignity and purpose.
Recovery is more than a clinical process, it is a personal journey. While physiotherapy is a crucial component of the long and often slow rehabilitation process, the patient’s mindset and attitude towards recovery are equally vital. The companionship and encouragement provided by dedicated volunteers contribute significantly to the patients’ journey, creating a more bearable and heart-warming experience, turning every physio session into an experience of care, companionship, and growth.

Frequently asked questions
We refer patients with additional needs to our trusted community partners, who may assist with financial aid, social services, or community prescriptions.
As part of Tzu Chi’s mission in charity, medicine, and education, we are committed to a care model that is holistic and family-centred. For lower-income households, we may initiate internal referrals. After a home visit and assessment, families may receive support such as living subsidies, medical financial aid, psychosocial and spiritual care, or other appropriate assistance tailored to their circumstances.
