Education is akin to planting trees. The trees need to grow deep roots in order to thrive and flourish.<\/p>

The teenage years are a formative chapter in life, when young individuals begin to explore who they are and who they wish to become. These moments of growth are most meaningful when guided with care, patience and wisdom. The Tzu Chi Teenagers\u2019 Class, thoughtfully designed for students in Secondary 1 to 3, gently supports youth as they take root in values such as empathy, responsibility and self-reflection. Through a combination of experiential learning and humanistic education, the programme encourages teens to care for others, discover their unique potential and develop inner strength with grace.<\/p>

From Tea Ceremony on Parent\u2019s Day, to participating in charity fairs, outdoor visits and resource sorting and recycling activities, each experience helps teenagers recognise their self-worth through service. These shared moments foster a sense of teamwork, gratitude and mindful action.<\/p>

A two-day, one-night camp during the school holidays provides further opportunities for personal growth, meaningful connections and lasting memories. The class is conducted entirely in Mandarin, offering students a chance to deepen their appreciation for Chinese culture through language and lived experience.<\/p>

Upon completing the programme, graduates are warmly encouraged to continue their journey by joining the Tzu Chi Collegiate Youth Association, where they may grow further in a supportive volunteer community and step into the next phase of life with maturity and purpose.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Teenagers\u2019 Class is guided by a dedicated team of experienced educational volunteers and teachers, many of whom have served in Tzu Chi\u2019s educational mission for over a decade. Their consistent presence and values-based mentorship provide a strong foundation for each student\u2019s growth.<\/p>\n

The programme adopts a \u201cParent-Volunteer System,\u201d where each student must be accompanied by at least one parent throughout the course. This parent also takes on the role of a team assistant, joining other volunteers and parents in supporting and guiding the teenagers through each class and activity.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Open To: Secondary 1 to 3 students, accompanied by at least one parent (To nurture shared growth, siblings or domestic helpers may not serve as substitutes)\n<\/p>\n
